What Custom Made Means at Next Day Blinds

“It doesn’t matter if you buy your window treatments in store, online, or in your own home, all of our products are made one at a time, to your specifications in our factory. "

Many brands tout their ability to create custom window coverings. But at Next Day Blinds, we do it a little differently. We consider “custom” as just that – made to order and built one unit at a time. “At Next Day Blinds, everything is custom made after you purchase your products,” says Frank Sisto, Vice President of Operations at Next Day Blinds. “It doesn’t matter if you buy your window treatments in store, online, or in your own home, all of our products are made one at a time, to your specifications in our factory. There is nothing pre-made [or] made in advance that gets cut down.”

Craftsmanship Meets Technology in Our Factory

The Next Day Blinds factory opened its doors in 2001. This state-of-the-art 120,000 square foot manufacturing facility is a “combination of old-world craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology,” says Steve Freishtat, CEO and Founder of Next Day Blinds. This unique combination allows us to produce high-quality, fully-custom window treatments at a competitive price.

"You get a custom-built product, made locally, and custom-tailored to your windows."
— Frank Sisto, Next Day Blinds, Vice President of Operations

High-Quality Materials Means High-Quality Products

We use only the finest components and materials and best-in-class techniques, and you can see the results in every custom product that leaves our state-of-the-art factory. We sweat every last detail, because we believe our products are a great investment for your home. You can see the results in each and every custom product that leaves our factory. Right down to the hardware, everything is top quality, inside and out – beautiful woods and furniture-grade finishes; rich fabrics, independently tested for durability; hand-selected grasses and reeds; and much, much more.

From Our Hands, To Your Home

As we manufacture each of your window coverings, we make many small adjustments to best suit its specific placement on your casement. This custom-tailoring approach ensures a perfect fit and optimum performance. And we are able to do this for one big reason – what we call fully-integrated services. Next Day Blinds does it all, “from our salespeople to our measuring technicians to our installation technicians to the factory, it’s a 100 percent integrated cover,” says Sisto. This gives us more control over the quality of the products we sell, the quality of each and every customer experience, and the cost to do it all.

Our unique integrated business model allows us to get to work quickly on your custom order.

  1. Our technology connects our sales associates and our website directly with our factory–placing your custom order on our factory floor with accuracy and expedience.  “By having our factory link with our stores, we are able to drive all the manufacturing process right from the point of sales,” says Freishtat. “Sorting, machine setting, and product quality and size is all determined right at the point of sale and then digitally communicated directly to the factory.”
  2. We build each window covering, one at a time to the exact specifications of your window and millwork. “Typical custom window coverings are custom for width and height only,” says Freishtat. “Our custom window coverings are custom for width and height, but we also give consideration to the depth of the window, the type of millwork, and the projection of the sill.” Our software and technology are proprietary and power our high-tech machinery, utilizing logic and algorithms to provide exact specifications based on product design and measurements.
  3. Our products are also delivered, installed, and serviced by Next Day Blinds full-time professional technicians (not contractors) who are fully trained in-house.
